Castillo y Castillo debuts in “Best companies to work for” ranking

Dominican law firm Castillo y Castillo has been named in Revista Mercado’s 2015 “Best companies to work for” ranking. The firm is particularly noted for its high proportion (63%) of female lawyers and employees.
Mercado highlights Castillo y Castillo’s in-house and external training programs, and grants towards master’s degrees and other postgraduate studies. Special mention is also made of the firm’s medical and life insurance, amongst other benefits.
This year’s survey found that small and medium sized companies are increasingly adopting the benefit systems and modern personnel management policies that were previously limited to the largest businesses. This finding is borne out by the fact that no less than 34 organizations are ranked for the first time this year.
Revista Mercado’s Methodology
Revista Mercado invited more than 100 companies to participate. These companies were then evaluated by a questionnaire that sought to identify their attitudes towards recruitment, training, working environment, employee compensation and personnel management, and how far each company achieved its own goals through its policies and procedures.
A jury of experts in human resources, personnel management and employee training selected the best 80 businesses to work for, based on the results of the survey, the companies’ cultures and organizational structures in benefit of their workforces.
