Castillo y Castillo sponsors The Week of Law and Business 2015

Dominican law firm Castillo y Castillo is sponsoring The Week of Law and Business: Santo Domingo 2015, organized by the Fundación Institucionalidad y Justicia (FINJUS), in conjunction with the prestigious US New York University and Germany’s Bucerius Law School.
The event, the most important of its kind in the Dominican Republic, will take place on June 16, 17 and 18 at the JW Marriott Hotel. More than 40 local and international experts from the legal community, corporate sector, banking and international commerce, will gather to discuss topics relating to corporate governance, restructuring and insolvency strategies and international purchase agreements, amongst others.
Speakers include Professor Franco Ferrari, Director of the Center for Transnational Litigation, Arbitration and Commercial Law at New York University; Professor Ultrich Steger, of Bucerius Law School; Davit Karapetyan, of International Finance Corporation; Bruce Markell, of Northwestern University; Jack Graves of Touro Law Center; and Marco Torsello of Verona University.
Five lawyers from Castillo y Castillo will attend: partner Praxedes J. Castillo, associate Luis Agelan, associate Jacqueline Fernandez, associate Jorge Rodriguez and junior associate Amalia Perez.
