Castillo y Castillo welcomes high school senior for internship
30 May 2015
Dominican law firm Castillo y Castillo has taken part in the Carol Morgan School (CMS) the Senior-Year High School Volunteer Internship Program. In May, CMS Seniors took part in a two-week, 60-hour internship with either a commercial business, a not-for-profit organization, or a government agency. Each student completed a written work and gave a final presentation on their experiences.
Castillo y Castillo welcomed the student into the firm, where she learnt about litigation and IP, corporate, commercial and tax law.
Castillo y Castillo’s participation in the CMS Internship Program is part of the firm’s commitment to supporting Dominican education and promoting the professional development of young people.
Through this program, they are able to gain hands-on, practical experience, learn about a variety of professions, and develop their commercial skills.
“We are delighted to have supported this worthwhile project,” said Marjorie Leger, PR Leader of the firm. “The young people of today are the leaders of tomorrow and we feel it is vital to support academic programs that enable students to identify their interests and abilities, and help them prepare for their professional career.
