INDOTEL launches virtual platform to validate documents with digital signature

The Dominican Institute of Telecommunications (INDOTEL) launched the digital platform “Validafirma” with the aim of validating digitally signed documents in the Dominican Republic; which is a great contribution to continue promoting the digital transformation of the country.
This virtual tool makes it easy for natural and/or legal persons to verify the authenticity, integrity and legality of digitally signed documents, throughout the national territory.
The https://validafirma.indotel.gob.do/ portal allows the user to upload a digital document and receive an evaluation report, which establishes the following information: the signature format, data of the signer, and the status of the digital certificate from his provider.
This project is framed within the faculties conferred in favor of INDOTEL -as an entity for the surveillance and control of the activities carried out by the regulated entities, by virtue of Law No. 126-02 on Electronic Commerce, Documents and Digital Signatures, its Application Regulations and Complementary Rules.
