No Criminal Record certification can now be acquired online

The Dominican Republic Attorney General’s Office has announced the launch of an online tool that allows users to request a certificate confirming they have no open judicial actions against him or her, which is vital for a number of purposes.
Applicants need to pay a fee online or at any branch of the Banco de Reservas de la República Dominicana, and provide their national identification card or passport number. Once this has been verified, the applicant can access to this web site to complete the process and obtain the certificate.
The information noted on the digital certificate can be confirmed through a unique bar code that guarantees its authenticity.
The online application system can be accessed from any internet-enabled device, including PCs, laptops, tablets and mobile phones.
