José Manuel advises local and international companies on civil, commercial, labor, foreclosure of guarantees and real estate related matters and, domestic and international arbitrations. He has extensive experience advising on corporate litigation in the banking, tourism, energy, transport and consumer goods sectors.

In addition, José Manuel advises on IP issues, such as copyright, trademark violations and other infringements.

As a born strategist with high IQ in litigation matters, a calm-under-pressure demeanor, and an acute ability to read between the lines of opponent strategies, he serves his dispute resolution clients with efficiency and effectiveness.

When he’s not working at Castillo y Castillo or as a professor at Universidad Pedro Henríquez Ureña’s (UNPHU) School of Law, you can find him playing polo, riding horses, or enjoying nature with his family.
